Working Late on Campus
Anyone else? I’m sitting here and supposed to be writing an essay due tomorrow. But this is my break time (I have tendinitis in both wrists, my fingers are now numb again). Taking classes during the summertime is BRUTAL – I have a final exam in a week. Blech.
Anyone who is on campus late – Call Campus Safety at x4444 (or x3612, which is non-emergency) or 520-4444/520-3612. They’ve had a “Working Late” type program here as long as I can remember – you tell them your location, when you’re planning on leaving campus (if you are, I’m not) and they’ll send a person to patrol every couple of hours – usually every 2 or so I believe.
I just had a visit with the patrol person who was coming to check on me – she actually said she’d come wake me up if I was asleep two hours from now. :P (I told her to do that – must get this essay done…)
During the school year though, please do use Foot Patrol (520-4066, or x4066). I know as a volunteer we usually sit around all shift because nobody calls (except for the standard patrolling done at least once a shift) – we’re more than willing to stop by to say hello to people if you give us a call during our shifts (depending on #s of volunteers, the shifts are 6-9pm and 9-12am).
