Looking for feedback on a few courses….

I was wondering if anyone has taken any of the following courses and has any feedback:

HLTH102- looks like this one has a new prof this year (Justin Hall) but I was wondering about the general difficulty level of this course and its material.
ITLN 010 and 112- 010 seems fairly easy but has anyone taken 112?  Is it substantially more [...]

Waterloo to Kingston on a Thursday?

So, here’s my dilemma.
My girlfriend, a Queen’s student, has her birthday on the 17th this month. I’m trying to get down there at least that evening, and I’ve found a bus from Toronto to Kingston. My issue is then getting from Waterloo to Toronto.
Does anyone know of a reasonably priced way to get from the [...]

Work Study!?

Hey there friends,
I’ve got a question about work study. They claim you’re only allowed to work up to 195 hours a year or something like, based on the amount they approve you for. But I’m wondering – if you get a job elsewhere, like off or on campus that is not under the work study program… [...]

I need a job immediately

Hello everyone,
I am a non-student, so I hope this fits within the guidelines of the group. I just moved here, and I’m not going to school this year, but I need a job immediately. I am guessing that a lot of students will have left their summer jobs or cut back on hours, and so the members [...]

Free iPod (if ever a Subject heading sounded like a scam!)

I’m giving away my Project Red iPod Shuffle. Usually I can be found in the Dana Porter most late afternoons and it’s easiest for me to give it to someone on campus, but moreover, even though mp3 players are rather ubiquitous, it would be a nice gesture to give it to a fellow student since [...]

Movie tickets for grad students?

I know UTSU has discounted movie tickets for Cineplex, but does anyone know if the GSU has anything similar? I can’t seem to find it on their website. If not, can grad students purchase discounted movie tickets from UTSU or is that for undergrads only?
Finally, does anyone know of an unlimited-movies-per-year type of pass deal?
Thanks. :)

Car-sharing advice

Heya, all.
I’ve started commuting from Cambridge to Peterborough for work, and now the summer holiday cheaper train fares have gone which it would be nice if the train company told you about, but that is a rant for a different time, I’m seeing my travelling costs poised to rocket. Does anyone know of any [...]

internet/wireless provider

I’m looking for an internet provider for myself–does anyone know any good student packages I could consider?
Thanks in advance.
