Telebears Rant

So who else is sick of getting screwed by Telebears? (I realize that Telebears is not actually the one doing the screwing, but rather departments, budget cuts, etc.) I couldn’t get into two of the classes I wanted to this semester, despite being #3 and #5 on the respective waitlists. I just did my Telebears [...]

MacCoun/Boyd/Hollinger

I’m looking to take my first legal studies class my last semester here. Between MacCoun’s Psychology & Law, Boyd’s International Human Rights and Hollinger’s Sex Reproduction & the Law classes, does anyone have any recommendations? Criticisms? Warnings? All three sound equally interesting. though I’m leaning toward MacCoun’s class. Thank you in advance!

physical education class- intro swimming

Hello all! I’m thinking of taking an intro swimming class and was wondering what the experience was like at the Hearst Gym. If you’ve taken this class or one similar to it, some of my questions are: 1) What’s the policy about swimming if you’re on your period? Do you get exempt? 2) Is the [...]

Physics 7b

The edited textbooks customized for uc berkeley lack answers in the back for chapters after 20. I was wondering how people who are taking or took physics 7b delt with this. How would you check your answers for problems you did? Are there websites that have these answers or am I really screwed because I really rely on doing problems and checking them as a way for studying [...]

conference locator?

I have a stressful couple of quarters ahead of me, as I will be taking my general (qualifying) exams in early March. I have been quite stressed out already in anticipation (part of this is coming off a nice summer of research, I think, and not wanting to be where I am still), and so [...]

Anything going on around campus that you don’t need an invite to?

“So You Think You Can Dance” Tickets!!

I have TWO tickets to the So You Think You Can Dance top 10 tour stop in Toronto! I absolutely NEED to sell these. My boyfriend and I were supposed to go to the show, but we were under the impression it was on Friday night. We found out yesterday that the show is on [...]

Tennyson?

I recently graduated from college, but I thought I would like to keep up with my reading. Since I love Romantic poetry, I thought it would be a good idea to start by reading poems by Tennyson, having never done that in college (tragedy, I know). Anyway, I thought I ask the community here for recommendations: Does anyone know of [...]
