I got Chown 129b (my last choice). At first, I was horrified, but I’m coming to accept it. Where is everyone else this year?

How does retaking a course work at U of T? Can you fully erase a past grade, or does the retaken course grade exist separately on the transcript?
I have an ugly ol’ D on my transcript that I’d love to forget.
